I’ve realized I have lost in a lot of titles on here.  But this time we were actually a little lost.  We set off from the hostel with Longshan Temple as our goal, but stumbled on a market along the way.  Obviously we had to stop, especially since my new friend only had one night in Taipei.

The market we were in ended up being Snake Alley.  That’s where you can eat snakes and and drink their blood.  I saw turtles without shells and got a little too sad.  I’m not sure either of us really knew what to think of it.  After wandering through the rest of the market we ended up right across from Longshan!  It worked out well.

I wasn’t quite as impressed by it as everyone else made it sound like I would be, but I’m still glad I went.  I love going to the temples and just watching everyone do their thing.  I have no idea what’s going on most of the time, but it’s interesting to watch.

Have you been to Longshan?  What did you think of it?  Do you want to go?
