)So, things might be a little order here, but they’re here, so that’s all that matters, right? I thought so. The drive from Bullfrog to Bryce Canyon is pretty scenic. It takes you through the northern section of Capitol Reef National Park , the Dixie National Forest, and Grand Staircase Escalante, with Red Canyon on the other side of Bryce Canyon taking you to Panguitch (where I stayed both times I visited.)
This is more of an introduction to Highway 24 that takes you through part of Capitol Reef. The actual scenic drive is a turnoff by the visitors center, which will be a different post a little later.
Along 24 there are plenty of things to do including a hike to a natural bridge, a walk to see petroglyphs, fruit picking in orchards, the visitors center, a view over the Goosenecks, and a few other hikes. It has quite a bit to offer and probably deserves more visitors than it actually gets. I would highly recommend it!
Have you been to Capitol Reef? What did you do there? What did you think of it? Do you want to go?
