Last summer on our road trip our first stop was Arches National Park and I was lovin’ it.  Fast forward to this year and we were faced with more decisions on where to visit in super short time span.  We knew we would be in Moab to see Canyonlands and ended up with more time than we thought and decided to go back to Arches.  Again, making it three times there.

Since we hiked to Delicate Arch last year, we decided to venture further into the park and do part of Devils Garden and Skyline Arch.  We didn’t go too far into Devils Garden, just to Tunnel Arch and Pine Tree Arch.  It was pretty hot and we didn’t have much water, so we turned around after Pine Tree Arch.  I would love to go back to hike all of Devils Garden.  There’s quite a bit back there that we didn’t get to see.

Skyline Arch was the other one we visited.  As we were walking up we saw people standing up under it and wanted to be up there too, of course.  We wandered around towards the back of it and could find nothing to get up there.  We accepted that and just wandered behind it a little more before returning to the front.  It was a short walk to it from the road, nothing difficult.

I don’t have a huge drive to go back, but I definitely would.  There’s still plenty to do there and I really enjoy that area.

One day in Arches National Park

Have you been to Arches?  What did you think of it?  What did you do there?  Do you want to go?
