I was just doing some (boring) behind the scenes blog things and had the idea to share photos of the Tetons from the same places in all three season I’ve been there!
And obviously I had to do this immediately because it just sounds fun.
I love being able to see the changes in the landscape both throughout the seasons and over the years, and even just the way I see the same things over the years.
I’ll label locations to the best of my ability but some may just be general areas.
I think seasons will be easy enough to spot, though all locations will have all three seasons (summer, fall, and winter).
This is just a fun post to enjoy and share pictures of one of my favorite national parks.
String Lake

Jenny Lake
On my first trip to the Tetons, we hiked along the back of Jenny Lake, but on the fall trip, we only got to see it from the Jenny Lake drive.
So the top two pictures are from one side of Jenny Lake, and the bottom two are looking the opposite direction.

Jackson Lake

Snake River Overlook

Cunningham Cabin

Gros Ventre
This one is also a little different, because all of these are in the same spot in Gros Ventre (literally the same pullout) but very different subjects.
This is one of my favorite places in the park because it’s SO good for seeing wildlife. In the fall pictures there was a moose hiding in the trees.

Further down Gros Ventre Road

Around the park

National Elk Refuge Drive

Vaguely Oxbow Bend
This one might be cheating because I’ve only been to Oxbow Bend once, but the coyote (one of my favorite pictures ever) is vaguely in that area, but on the other side of the road.
I wanted to include both but didn’t really know where to put them so this is my solution.

Unrelated but similar

Same same, but different

Have you been to the Tetons? When did you go? What is your favorite season there? What season do you want to go there the most? Which is your least favorite?
