Grand Teton National Park In Three Seasons

I was just doing some (boring) behind the scenes blog things and had the idea to share photos of the Tetons from the same places in all three season I’ve been there! And obviously I had to do this immediately because it just sounds fun. I love being able to see the changes in the landscape both throughout the seasons and over the years, and … Continue reading Grand Teton National Park In Three Seasons

The Best Outdoor Activities In Jackson, Wyoming For A Trip Any Time Of The Year

This content has been created in partnership with Hotels.com

Like a lot of places I share on here, I love Jackson, Wyoming. A lot. I would love to even live there someday, but for now I’ll have to stick with visiting. While I spent a lot of time in the Tetons in winter, I was only there for a couple of days in summer so I’d love to go back so I can do more hiking.

LOOKING TO VISIT GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK IN THE WINTER?

Yes!  100% worth it.  There you go.  That’s all.  I kid.  I’ll break it down for you a bit more than that.  Short answer: yes.

Well, after ALL those winter posts, get it ALL like, six of them, it’s time for a little warmer weather.  The only reason there are so few posts for the whooooole winter is because I really didn’t do all that much.  It’s been pretty well covered in those.  So, onto my brief spring travels and the beginning of the summer adventures!  For a quick little catch up, I was in Wyoming for the winter (as you can see from the winter posts) then I went back to Wisconsin for like, ten days.

Jackson Hole is expensive.  I’m sure it can be visited on a budget, I just didn’t really do that, mostly because I was living there, not just visiting.

BUT this is one way to save you a pretty penny on your visit to Jackson in the winter (or summer, but most of this applies to winter as I know nothing about wildlife in the area in the summer.)

Snowshoeing At Flagg Ranch In Yellowstone In Winter

Flagg Ranch is just outside of Yellowstone and the closest we could get without being on a snowmobile or in a snow coach.  Neither of those was in our plans, so snowshoes would have to do.  It was our first time snowshoeing (my second, but the first was in gym class in high school, so does that really count?) and we hadn’t been driving that direction yet so we figured, why not?

The Cunningham Cabin trail is actually more of a stroll than a hike.  The only way I would call it a hike is if you had to park in the lot closer to the road than the one by the cabin.  Even then, it’s a paved road and very flat.  Either way, whatever you call it, it’s nice and worth it if you have a spare 45 minutes.

It’s finally time!  I am starting to share my photos and adventures from this winter, that’s why there was a little break between posts.  I had to get all my pictures ready to kick this off the right way, with the best of the best, or at least my favorites.
