I guess it’s that time of year where I’m supposed to do round-ups and all that good stuff, but I already did here, and, well, I haven’t done anything but work since then.

So, instead of another round-up, I’ll share plans and goals and stuff for 2016!

Of course, I leave for nine weeks in Taiwan and the Philippines this week!  I sat down and made myself some goals for this year.  They’re nothing crazy, but I’m still excited for the year ahead!

I still haven’t seen all that much of the US, so I want to visit more National Parks.  I still have my pass from last year.  It’s the perfect opportunity to take advantage of that.  I would like to go to five new ones this year and maybe return to some that I went to last year.

Speaking of National Parks, I want to hike Angels Landing at Zion.  I wanted to last year, but it didn’t work out, so this year I would really love to.

I would also like to go back to the Grand Canyon, maybe to the north rim this time, or west.  Or maybe go in it.  All of those sound like something I want to do.

This seems like a year of trying things again.  I went stand up paddle boarding last year on Little Corn Island and really didn’t like it.  Why do I want to do it again you ask?  Because I want to like it.  I figure I’ll try it again somewhere new and hope for the best!

I also want to kayak more this year.  I like kayaking.  It’s one of the few water activities I enjoy.

Another thing I wouldn’t totally hate doing again is going to Guatemala.  I love Guatemala.  I want to go back.  I look at airfare there a lot, but never book anything.  There’s so much I didn’t see there!

I want to start writing more regularly, too.  Not just on here, but anything.  Just write and see what happens.

And of course, go snorkeling.  I successfully avoided it in my two and a half months in Central America, which I was actually a little surprised about.  But, someday I want to SCUBA dive, and I think this is the first step for me to work towards that.  I need to hate you less, water!

One last thing, I want to see my friends more.  We’re all so spread out at this point that I never see anyone anymore.  I want to change that and see them at least once.  That would be nice.

Have you done any of these things?  What are your goals for 2016?
