One of the things I’ve wanted to do since my first summer in Bullfrog is to visit Valley of the Gods.  Well, it was one of the first things I did once I got here for the season.  Off we went on a cold, windy, and cloudy day in April for what I had very high expectation of.

Next up in my “things to do that aren’t hiking” series is Bryce Canyon!  I think Bryce Canyon is a park that a lot of people either skip in favor of nearby Zion National Park or just drive through and don’t hike into.

Willow Spring + Mill Canyon Dinosaur Track Sites: Easy Access Dinosaur Tracks In Moab

You already know I love all things dinosaur, and if you didn’t, now you do.  Last year I made sure to see the Trail Through Time in Colorado and got to see some dinosaur bones, but I decided I needed to see some dinosaur tracks in Moab on our last visit there for the 2018 summer.

Capitol Reef might be my favorite national park in Utah.  It’s the one I’ve lived the closest to making it the easiest for me to explore and makes for a great weekend trip in Utah.

While it has a ton of awesome hikes, there are so many cool things to do that involve little to no hiking.  Whether you can’t hike or just don’t like it, you should still visit Capitol Reef.  You’ll still be able to see plenty of the park.

Super Ultimate Hiking And Outdoor Utah Bucket List

This winter instead of making a yearly state to-do list, I decided to just make a bigger state bucket list.  Then I decided to turn this into a little series.  I wanted to do specific states that I spend a lot of time in, want to spend a lot of time in, or am close to a lot.

I also wanted to do more general regional bucket lists for all the other things I want to do, which is a lot.  They are all pretty outdoor focused with a few non-outdoorsy things, too.

Everything You Need To Know About The Capitol Reef Orchards

Capitol Reef is definitely the most underrated national park in Utah.  It gets overlooked on road trips through the area (guilty) for the much more popular Arches and Zion

While I love the hiking of Capitol Reef and how close it is to where I live in the summer, I really, really love picking fruit in the orchards and it makes a weekend trip to Torrey that much better.

The House on Fire ruin is probably the most unique ruin site in Utah which should land it at the top of your Utah bucket list and road trip itinerary.  I had no idea it even existed until a few months before going.

This was one of the places I wanted to take my parents when they came to visit, so go we did.  We set out pretty early because you really have to see this at the right time (10-11 AMish) to get the fire effect on the rocks.

I’ve driven past the trailhead for Headquarters Canyon I don’t know how many times over the last three summers without doing the hike.  Well, I finally hiked Headquarters Canyon and it was so cool.  Plus, there was a Geocache tucked way back in there giving me even more reason to want to see it.
