I don’t remember what I was looking up at the time, some hike near Page, but then I stumbled on The Nautilus hike. What I do remember is the day that I found it I wanted to go immediately. We didn’t but I wanted to.
The first time we went was within a couple of weeks from when I first read about it. I saw that the best time to go was when it was cloudy or first thing in the morning.

I think this is officially my last post on our spring adventures and it’s the one I’m most surprised I didn’t do until this year: driving the Halls Crossing side of Highway 276 (still haven’t taken the ferry, though) to see the ruins! I still haven’t driven all the way dow to the marina there, but this was a good start.

Way back in 2016 some people invited me to hike Leprechaun Canyon with them. I worked 3-11 then so I couldn’t and I was bummed, but everyone made it sound so easy to find and do that we ended up going later that summer.
We show up. We hike. We don’t even think we were in the right spot. We go home. I actually ended up taking my parents there anyway just because what we did see was cool.

Just like the Belly of the Dragon, the Moqui Caverns were another thing I alwaysssss saw on Pinterest and just had to see. Once we decided to transfer to Wahweap and were just an hour from Kanab, I knew we had to stop. And we did on our first trip to Kanab.

I love the Burr Trail. It’s no secret. It’s the best scenic drive in Utah, if not the whole country. I still have a lot of scenic drives left to do, so that’s not an official declaration yet.
I always thought I should have made a Burr Trail guide years ago, but now I thought about it and I really just gave myself time to do as much on it as I could. Which is a lot.

One of the best things to do on a Utah road trip is stargazing and Utah has some of the best opportunities for it all over the state.
