Great Places To Stay In Page, AZ For All Budgets (From A Former Local!)

One of the biggest parts of planning a vacation is choosing where to stay, whether it’s five star luxury or shoestring budget.

I’m here to help you out a bit by sharing the best places to stay in Page, Arizona. I haven’t stayed at all of these myself yet, but I’ve been to probably half of them.

Our employee dorm in 2020 was tiny and hotel rooms were very cheap that summer so we spent all of our weekends at hotels in Page, Flagstaff or Kanab and racked up a lot of Choice Hotel points.

The New Wave Trail in Page

While I know a lot of people like rental homes, this list is mainly of hotels in Page with a few rentals good for groups. I occasionally use Airbnb but I’ve come to dislike it more recently.

I’ve got this sorted between places to stay IN Page, places to stay NEAR Page (like Big Water and Greenehaven), and rentals in Page.

I tried to include a variety of options from budget and mid-range chains to glamping and even high end (like, the highest end) luxury so there is plenty to choose from.

Thankfully Page is pretty small so no matter what you’re here to do, you can’t go wrong with any of these hotels or rentals. Everything is pretty close and just a sort drive away.

**I would like to note, most of the Choice Hotels options have lowish (under 4 stars out of 5) ratings on the Choice Hotels website but they’re not bad at all and they’re the best for budget travelers with frequent member deals for free nights. This is our chain of choice right now for that reason and why you see so much of it in here.
If you’re used to like, modern, nice, fancy hotels they might not be for you (except the newer ones outside of downtown). But if you’re not super picky they’re good options.
And I can be picky about hotels. I won’t normally book anything under 4/5 unless it’s literally my only option and I would stay at all of them again.**

Places To Stay In Page, AZ

First up are the hotels in Page. This is where almost all of the chain hotels are (no shame, we’re firmly Choice Hotels people right now, as you can tell below).

These are going to be the most convenient for restaurants as well as visiting any of the Page slot canyons and Horseshoe Bend.

Wingate

The Wingate by Wyndham is right between Denny’s and Sleep Inn on the edge of Page by the golf course.

There are one king and two queen rooms, some with lake views (barely) and some with balconies.

It’s a pretty typical chain option with breakfast, a fitness center, and in-room coffee makers.

This is a newer hotel (wasn’t here in 2015 when we went through the area) so the rooms are nice and modern. I wanted to stay here (for a balcony room) but we didn’t get to.

I would stay here in the future though. It’s a great mid-range place to stay in Page.

  • Pet friendly: No
  • Restaurant on site: No
  • Pool: Yes

Sleep Inn

The Sleep Inn is on the edge of Page, right next to the Wingate. They have two queen rooms and one king junior suites with whirlpool baths.

It’s a modern hotel and a pretty typical chain with breakfast, a fitness room, a pool, and an outdoor seating area.

We haven’t stayed here but my parents did and they gave it their seal of approval. If you want a hotel in Page that’s between no frills and fancy, this is a good choice.

  • Pet friendly: No
  • Restaurant on site: No
  • Pool: Yes

Rodeway Inn, Page

If you want a budget hotel in Page, this is pretty close to that. We stayed here a lot in 2020 (our dorm was tiny), but it was cheaper then.

It’s more now, but still budget friendly compared to a lot of other hotels in Page. It’s not fancy but the rooms we had all had new hard floors, which was nice.

It’s in a really great location right across from Safeway and near a lot of food. I would stay here again. (It’s better on the inside than the outside).

All rooms have a fridge and microwave with either two queens or one king bed. This is a great choice for a place to stay in Page that won’t break the bank.

  • Pet friendly: No
  • Restaurant on site: Yes
  • Pool: Yes

Best Western View of Lake Powell

The Best Western View of Lake Powell, not to be confused with the Best Western Plus next door, is another great chain mid-range option.

It’s especially great for families because they not only have traditional two queen and one king rooms, but they have some with three queens!

They also have mobility assistance and communication assistance rooms available.

It’s up the hill from the golf course and has beautiful views as it’s perched on the edge of a hill overlooking Lake Powell (in the distance).

They have a free typical hotel breakfast, a fitness center, plenty of parking, a pool, and a hot tub. It’s close to plenty of food options.

  • Pet friendly: No
  • Restaurant on site: Almost, Rim View Terrace is right there.
  • Pool: Yes

Comfort Inn

We stayed at the Comfort Inn once and it was pretty nice. It’s newer, it also wasn’t here in 2015, so it’s a bit nicer than some of the options right in the middle of town.

It’s a pretty typical chain hotel with breakfast, a fitness center, a pool, and laundry.

There are rooms with one king or two queens and some rooms are suite style with a sofa bed.

This is also a good option for families as a few rooms have two queens AND one king bed.

There are also some rooms that have balconies, although they’re pretty narrow (we had one) so it’s not great for sitting out on.

This isn’t in the main area of Page, but it is still close to restaurants and is just seven minutes from Horseshoe Bend.

This was my favorite of the Page hotels we stayed at I think. It was just nice and modern but we didn’t have bad experiences anywhere.

  • Pool: yes

Clarion Inn

The Clarion Inn is right in the heart of Page and has a fancy 90s vibe to it. We stayed here once, too.

This is right across the street from Big John’s Texas BBQ which is delicious and sometimes has live music.

Again, it’s a typical chain hotel with breakfast, a seasonal outdoor pool, and an on-site restaurant, but the biggest perk is location.

Some rooms have balconies, some are suites with kitchens, some even have three queen beds for families, too!

Most have one king, one queen, or two queens, but the different options are convenient if you want a hotel over a house rental.

  • Pet friendly: yes, $10 per pet per night
  • Restaurant on site: yes, restaurant and lounge bar
  • Pool: yes

Quality Inn

The Quality Inn is perched on a hill on the edge of town overlooking the golf course, Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam, and everything else in that area.

It’s another one with a fancy 90s vibe but it’s not bad. We stayed here more than once and I would stay again.

They have an outdoor pool, a restaurant on-site, a picnic area, and a gran and go breakfast.

Rooms are pretty spacious and have one king or two queens. Most rooms have balconies or patios, and some have mountain or pool views.

  • Pet friendly: yes, $20 per pet per night, maximum three per room.
  • Restaurant on site: yes
  • Pool: yes

Courtyard by Mariott

The Courtyard is right on the golf course and has great views of Lake Powell and Glen Canyon. They even have an outdoor fireplace to relax by.

This is in a great location kind of between everything in Page, the new part down the hill and the old part (the main downtown area) up the hill.

They have a pool, fitness center, laundry, and a restaurant. Breakfast isn’t included but is available at the restaurant.

The rooms are recently renovated and have either one king or two queens, so this one isn’t as good of a choice for families or groups.

  • Pet friendly: yes, on pet per room, 50 pounds maximum, $50 pet fee
  • Restaurant on site: yes
  • Pool: yes

Places To Stay Near Page, AZ

Next up we have all of the places to stay near Page and this is where you’ll find the more unique options.

There is the only hotel on Lake Powell (in this area), glamping, an eco retreat, and one of the most expensive hotels in the country!

Shash Dine’ EcoRetreat

This is a bed and breakfast just south of Page featuring traditional Navajo hogans on the Navajo Reservation.

Each unit has outdoor seating as well as a seating and dining area inside. There are no units with bathrooms, just one shared bathroom area.

Vegan and vegetarian breakfast options are available here daily and there is a grill if you’d like to cook your own dinner instead of going out in Page.

This is a unique glamping experience in one of the most beautiful regions in the country. If you stay here, be sure to go outside at night for some unforgettable stargazing.

  • Pet friendly: no
  • Restaurant on site: no, but there is breakfast and a grill
  • Pool: no

Lake Powell Resort – Wahweap Marina

Lake Powell Resort is the only hotel in Wahweap and the only hotel on Lake Powell. There are 348 rooms, both standard and suites, with parking lot views, Lone Rock views, and Navajo Mountain views.

All rooms have a patio or balcony. The junior suites are bigger than the regular rooms and also have a sitting room.

There is plenty of boat and RV parking here (as well as nearby on the property) and a shuttle to take you around Wahweap.

They also have a fitness center, two pools, a hot tub, walking paths, a gift shop, and fire pits around the hotel. I would go in expecting more hotel than resort though.

  • Pet friendly: Yes
  • Restaurant on site: Yes, Driftwood Lounge, Rainbow Room, and Latitude 37 at the main marina
  • Pool: Yes

Rodeway Inn, Big Water – Big Water, UT

The Rodeway Inn in Big Water is about 20 mintues from Page great for anyone on a budget that.

The rooms aren’t fancy, and they have a bit of an old west theme happening. It was a little too budget for my parents but we stayed here a lot in 2020 (it was about $30 per night then) and I liked it.

If you want modern and fancy, look elsewhere. They do have coin laundry available and great views out back.

This is a great choice for a lot of hikes near Page like Wire Pass slot canyon, The Nautilus, Buck Tank Draw, Catstair Canyon, Alstrom Point, Stud Horse Point, and Skylight Arch.

Like I said, this is no frills, but if you don’t mind that and want something more affordable than most things in Page, it’s perfect.

  • Pet friendly: Yes, in some rooms. $15.00 per night, maximum 30 pounds with a limit of 2 pets per room.
  • Restaurant on site: No
  • Pool: No

Lake Powell-Grand Staircase Under Canvas – Big Water

Under Canvas is a glamping resort chain found near a number of national parks. The Moab location is actually why I wanted to work out west!

This isn’t budget friendly at all, but it would be worth the splurge for a night if you can swing it and don’t mind being a little further from Page.

They have an on-site restaurant with local seasonal produce, organic bath products, an EV charging station, and bedside battery packs to charge devices (remember, it’s glamping).

The tents vary in size and they have some for one or two people and others for families. There is no electricity in the tents! They do provide fans though.

All tents have private bathrooms and West Elm furnishings. They have nightly campfires with smores, morning yoga, an on-site slot canyon, live music, and more.

  • Pet friendly: Yes, leash and off leash areas provided
  • Restaurant on site: Yes
  • Pool: No

Amangiri – Greenehaven

Amangiri is not for the average traveler. This five-star resort caters to the stars (literally) and is one of the most expensive hotels in the US.

If you have the money and are willing to spend it, it’s easily the best place to stay near Page if you like luxury. It’s kind of between Big Water and Greenehaven.

It includes daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two; daily scheduled hikes; daily group wellness classes; round-trip Page airport transfers; in-room nonalcoholic beverages; and on-property hikes.

They have private pavilions at their Camp Sakira area with indoor dining and living areas plus an outdoor terrace and plunge pool.

The suites in the main resort all have an outdoor lounge and fireplace with beautiful views. Some even have rooftop terraces and private pools.

I want to stay here someday just to see what it’s like. If you stay here, let me know how it is!

  • Pet friendly: Yes, $100 per pet, per night; limit 50 pounds and two pets. This includes bedding and welcome amenities (I wonder what the amenities are).
  • Restaurant on site: Yes
  • Pool: Yes

Rentals in Page

Finally we have the rental homes in Page. While anyone can use rental homes, these are particularly good for groups or people with a bigger budget.

Most of the houses are newer, very nice, and have some of the best views in Page.

None of these are right in downtown Page but it’s a short drive to get to the main area with all the restaurants if you’re not cooking for yourself.

All of the houses I’ve included are in the same area, a newer development on the edge of town on the edge of a cliff-y area. The first three are more budget friendly.

Santa Fe Style home with views

This beautiful Santa Fe style rental home in Page is near the airport and in a newer development area perched on the top of a cliff with stunning views.

There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms but it sleeps ten (one queen, one king, one double, and two twin bunks) so it’s perfect for bigger groups.

Not only is there a back patio and balcony but also a rooftop deck! You’ll be able to enjoy grilling out, a hot tub, and unbeatable views.

There is laundry available and a two car garage plus boat parking along the house and in the street. Pets are not allowed.

Custom home with Lake Powell views

This new home also sleeps ten but has four bedrooms instead, plus three bathrooms (four double beds and two king beds).

There is an outdoor dining area with a grill out back, a seating area out front, and boat/car parking in the garage.

It’s just a short walk from a hiking trail so if you want a break from enjoying Lake Powell, you can hit the trail easily.

You must park in the garage or drive way here, there is no street parking. Pets are also not allowed.

The Cliff Dweller at Lake Powell

The Cliff Dweller sleeps twelve in five bedrooms (three twin, two double, two queen, and one king) with four bathrooms.

It has a balcony, a separate outdoor seating area, and not just one, but two different washers and dryers (two of each).

It says there is a hot tub on the listing but I didn’t really see it in the pictures or mentions of it. There is, however, a beautiful fire pit and seating area.

There is a little detached casita in front of the home which would be perfect if anyone in your group had a baby and wanted a little more privacy.

Pets are not allowed and small boats are only allowed in the garage. There is no street parking allowed here, either.

Rental with great views

I think this house looks pretty weird on the outside but the inside looks pretty great and very, very nice.

It sleeps eight in three bedrooms (one twin, one double futon, one double, two queens, and one king) with 3.5 baths.

The house has fantastic views, a huge outdoor pool and deck area, and a very spacious rooftop grilling and dining area with a fireplace.

The master bedroom has a private balcony with an outdoor shower, a fireplace, and a fancy copper bathtub.

There is also laundry available. If you want a more luxurious rental home in Page, this is it. There is plenty of parking for vehicles and boats.

There are a few rules, though. No pets are allowed, any kind of pool heat has a fee ($50 per day), and fireplaces are only for use from November to March.

This home is beautiful and luxurious and the price definitely reflects that. It is not budget friendly but is still good for groups.
